OUR BEGINNINGS
The team at Kelowna Street Outreach is small, around a dozen young adults, which is much bigger than when we began!
We started running in 2022 from the trunk of our owner Tor's car and have to continued to expand as we receive more donations and find more volunteers.
Our vision for Kelowna Street Outreach is to make the support services provided to people without stable housing more equitable and accessible. Oftentimes, services have barriers for people with physical disabilities, mental health challenges, or simply a sense of pride. Reducing a step required (going to a building), can increase the odds that these folks can gain access to necessary resources.
